"It's a rare occasion that anything I have a high expectation for, exceeds the bar I set for it. The Dark Knight. The iPhone. And now the XK3y. On paper it sounded exactly what I'd been waiting for, but it was only when first using it could I fully appreciate the change it brings. While those sticking with iXtreme scramble to find one of the new dual layer burners needed to properly burn XGD3 titles, I navigated the folders on my hard drive right there in the 360 dashboard, selected Forza 4, and a few button presses later was off and driving. Without moving from the couch, I exited back to the dashboard, navigated my way to Batman, and moments later was kicking ass on the streets of Arkham City. Next I jumped to an original rip of Call of Duty Black Ops, with no patch applied for AP25 security. A game that has had to be re-patched, and re- burned multiple times since its release, up on the screen, no patching required. AP25 security? No longer an issue. XGD3 titles? Same as any other title. No discs. No fuss. On paper it said the DVD drive needs to be opened and closed for games to load. But this is just initiating the action which the key then emulates - the drive doesn't physically open and close. Which sounds like a simple thing but in practice it's less noise and gives it the feel of a smoother operation than what I had imagined. On the negative side, the latest firmware update added covers to the menu system, but in its current form it is hardly worth it. Each game appears like a folder and once entered you can see a very small thumbnail sized picture of the cover. This picture file has to be very small in size otherwise it seems to interfere with the game loading properly. Once clicked on, due to its small resolution when it appears full screen it is a blurred and pixilated mess. If all games in a folder showed their covers side by side it would be worth the effort, but as you can only ever see one cover at a time after clicking into a specific game, it felt pointless. For now I removed all the jpegs and won't be bothering with including the covers. The full names of each game also get cut off under this menu system - a pet hate of mine with any menu display. This is more a limitation of the 360 though - they've done the best with what they have. Hopefully it is something they can improve upon in the future. Lastly there's Xbox Live? Does it work? Sure! Should you use it? Definitely at your own risk. Personally I want my Xbox Live connection to download DLC for games, and get access to Xbox Live Arcade titles. So I will be doing the following: 1. With the internet completely disconnected - start up normally allowing use of XK3y. 2. With the internet connected - start up by pressing the eject button on the DVD Drive. This bypasses the XK3y allowing games to be played from disc, and with no modded firmware on the DVD drive may prove to be the safest way to be connected to Xbox Live on a modified console. Will this guarantee I never get banned? Hardly!! But until it's stood the test of time I feel it best to take some precautions!! For now there's no ripping games onto your HDD while using the XK3y, but this is another possible enhancement in the future. To play your games off the HDD you will need the means to rip the original game in full, then copy the ISO file to the HDD."

The product is amazing! FIrst off, no matter what anyone tells you this x360key is completely playable online. It protects you just as good as flashing your drive, if not better. It is definitely worth the $100 because you know how much new games are these days. Once you get everything setup correctly it runs beautifully! I have been playing MW3 campaign the past 7 hours and the loading times are outstanding. Twice as fast as with the CD. The xkey is beneficial in so many ways, some that you wouldn't even think of. Like now my xbox is very quite because of no spinning cd, it doesn't even heat up that much any more, with the ISOMENU feature I can sit on my lazy ass and switch to what ever game with the push of a button, and with the developers truly caring about their customers, their are weekly updates for things that may protect you from future xbox dashboard updates, improve selecting games, and so much more. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to play all the backups with out any CDs.

Easy to install and product can only get better. The Sata connecitons are a bit soft and flimsy but other than that it is a step in the right direction with updates coming along nicely and live working like a dream. Lets hope the team keep ahead of the curve and it stays around for the long run.

WOW. This unit is amazing. No more wasting time burning iso's on DVD and hoping they work. Place the iso on the hdd and connect to the unit and that is it. The usb loader does all the work in bypassing AP25 and XGD3. No more wasting time and works 100%. Every game I have added works perfectly and fast. I highly recommend it for anyone who want's their games to work 100% of the time, every time.

Nachdem M$ heimlich die "DAE.bin" ausgetauscht hat, laufen Spiele mit dem AP25 nicht mehr mit der Firmware 1.10 in 36 Std.).Da kann man nur sagen: Super Service!!! Respekt!

Salut, Colis reçu très rapidement malgré la distance (Nouméa), lonté dans la foulée et le tout fonctionne parfaitement. Consle : Xbox360 slim, lecteur liteon 0025 J'ai utilisé le x360usb pour la clé, a fonctionné du 1er coup. Pour le xkey, tous les jeux fonctionnent malgré la dernière mise à jour 14686 (gow; cod mw3 etc) a+ et non jeux !
